The new Ergohuman 2 Office Chair is the first re-design of the Ergohuman Ergonomic Chair in over 10 years and supersedes the old models known as the Ergohuman Classic V1 and Elite V2. It’s a case of evolution rather than revolution, building on the strengths of the existing Chair to bring it up to date with the latest thinking in ergonomic chair design.

Please note that the Ergohuman V1, V2 and V3 are obsolete models. They are not the Ergohuman 2 which is the new generation of Ergohuman Chairs.

New adjustment points have been added to give it one of the wisest ranges of adjustability on the market. An automated production line has been built to improve build quality and consistency. This has resulted in a lighter and more refined chair that is comparable to the best chairs on the market.

There are 3 models in the Ergohuman 2 range, the Ultra Office Chair with a core set of ergonomic functions, the Elite Office Chair with new innovations such as Forward tilt and the Luxury Office Chair with memory tilt function and more chrome finishes.

Every aspect of the ergonomic function of the Chair has been reviewed in the Ergohuman 2 Office Chair. This has included new materials to improve durability and minimise chemical emissions. Most importantly, new adjustments have been added to improve ergonomic function.

Forearm support

Introducing a new innovation to support your forearm while using a Mobile Device. The front section of the 5 way Armrest now tilts upward under your forearm from the elbow, to reduce fatigue. This reduces muscle strain when supporting a mobile device in front of you. Not available on the Ergohuman 2 Project models.

Back Support

One of the main sources of discomfort or pain when sitting in an Office Chair is from the back and Lower Lumbar area. By separating the lower lumbar and upper back support, these can operate independently of each other to optimise support to suit the shape of your back.

Elastic Lumbar Adjustment

The Lower Lumbar support is now adjustable for firmness with 6 settings between soft and firm in all Ergohuman 2 office chair models. Now you can find your ideal level of firmness and support as well as adjusting the height of the Lower Lumbar area.

Back-rest Height Adjustment

The Ergohuman 2 Backrest now has 6 positions for backrest height. Finding the right height is important to finding a healthy seating posture. You can adjust the height of the backrest to a position that feels right for you.

Elastomeric Mesh

A new generation in Mesh technology, our Elastomer Mesh has improved elasticity for comfort and improved hand feel. A Mesh seat allows air flow for coolness and comfort while at the same time being tough and durable. Not available on the Ergohuman 2 Project models.

Improved Recline Tension

Free tilt or locked, it’s a matter of preference. The Free tilt mode allows you to sit forward or recline without having to de-activate the tilt lock. Using the tension control, you can select between 8kg and 12kg of back-rest recline resistance.

Find the right seat position

Finding the right seat position is very important for comfort and health. The seat should support your legs but not apply pressure behind your knees. With a range of 50mm, you can slide the seat forward or back to the most comfortable position to support your legs.

Synchro Tilt

When reclining in the Chair, the arm-rests move with the backrest to maintain support for your arms in the correct position. The seat base also tilts back slightly to flatten the seat, creating a more laid back position.

Head-Rest Adjustment

The Head-Rest is independent of the back-rest and can be adjusted for height and angle, without adjusting the back-rest. This enables the most comfortable position between the back rest and headrest to be achieved.

It is recommended to change seating position on a regular basis to reduce fatigue. Lean back, lock in your favourite position and relax while zooming or browsing. There are 4 locking positions between upright and a recline to 141 degrees.

Forward tilt

New to the Ergohuman 2 Office Chair, you can now lean forward with full back and seat support. The back and seat tilt in synchronisation. The back tilts forward 6 degrees and the seat raises 2 degrees from the back to support a forward seating position. Not available on the Ergohuman 2 Project models.
