I spent a while looking for a good value chair. I am 6ft 4" and 105Kg so it was interesting to see how many $500 to $700 chairs were just not up to it. Flimsy parts and a lack of confidence that they would last very long The Ergohuman was a gamble. You can't give it a try as there are no retail outlets (Gen 2) and to be fair there are very few reviews. I work from home a lot but when I work at the office we have Herman Miller Aerons The Herman Miller's are great chairs but very expensive. The Ergohuman, for me, hits the sweet spot. Built like a tank, top to bottom aluminium, very strong mesh, limitless adjustments and great looking. My summary ? 90% of a Herman Miller for less than half the price Very happy.

I have been using my burgundy leather chair for a couple of months now and I am so pleased with it. I have found that once set up, which was not difficult, I can recline or just sit how I wish and the chair moves with me. Amazing adjustability of the armrests too. Very comfortable and beautifully constructed.

I took a long time researching chairs for my home office and finally decided on the Ergohuman 2 Elite Mesh with Legrest. I wouldn't normally buy something as important as a chair online without trying it out first but I had discovered a version (without the legrest) at a retailer but they could not access the legrest version. I dealt with Ergohuman directly on their website and it was a seamless process - very efficient and professional. Delivery was exceptionally fast. The chair is excellent, very comfortable and extremely easy to assemble - would thoroughly recommend.

Meeting the European standard EN1335 means that an Ergohuman Chair complies with 6 standards for Occupational Health & Safety, and quality standards.

Meeting the North American BIFMA standard means an Ergohuman Chair has passed tests for strength, durability, and stability based on a 10 year product life of full time use.

BS5459 Certification for 24 hour use and bodyweight up to 150kg

Heavy Duty Certification

The Ergohuman Elite and Luxury SE models are certified under BS5459 for bodyweights upto 150kg and for use up to 24 hours per day (3 shifts).

Greenguard certification for low VOC emissions on Ergohuman office chairs

Greenguard Gold low VOC emissions

Greenguard Gold Certification means an Ergohuman Chair has the lowest level of 'Volatile Organic Compound' emissions as required for Medical and Childcare facilities.

Where can I see an Ergohuman Chair?

The best way to try an ergonomic chair is to use one full time for a few days.  Changing your office chair can result in discomfort initially as you adjust to a different seating posture. We do not have showrooms and the Ergohuman range is available online only. 

We offer a 60 day change of mind returns process if the Chair does not work for you. If you decide to take advantage of the return, we refund the Chair but not the delivery or return shipping costs.

The chairs arrive packed in a box to ensure you receive it in pristine condition.

Assembly is straight forward and will take 12-15 minutes for one person. Everything you need to complete assembly is included in the box.

The Assembly instructions are attached to the back rest and pdf and video guides are available here

We can arrange for you to collect from our warehouse in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney subject to availability. 

The Box is at least 30kg and measures 78x58x66cm so you will need a vehicle able to accommodate the chair.

Collections are not available everyday so please contact us to make arrangements and we will create the order for you.

Delivery times vary from 2 working days up to 8 working days depending upon your location. Major City Metro addresses are usually quicker with longer times for regional centres or rural addresses.

We will send you a tracking number or Courier consignment number for you to track your delivery.

Spares and accessories for all models of Ergohuman are available going right back to the 2005 models.

Our Factories are vertically integrated with all parts manufactured in house. This parts back-up will remain in place well beyond the useful life of your chair.

An Ergohuman Chair is designed to last 10 years in full time use of 8 hours per working day under normal use conditions and maintenance. 

To provide peace of mind that your Chair will last, we include a 5 year Warranty for the older models and a 10 year Warranty for the Gen 2 update models available from November 2025.
